CENOTE:
Cenotes are the underground rivers we have in the Yucatan Peninsula. Some people say the Yucatan Peninsula lies on limestone bedrock and is like Swiss Cheese with passageways that sometimes are dry caves but most of the time are filled with fresh cool water.
The word comes from the Mayan language DZONOT (water well).
You will love to swim in these natural blue water pools underground or open air similar to a lagoon.
We recommend an 8 am start to avoid the crowds. We will begin at the Tulum Mayan site for a 1.5 hour guided tour.

One of the richest Mayan cities in history, “Muddy Water” is the meaning of this ancient and important Mayan city that was built during the Classic period 400-900 AD.
Climb with us on the largest Pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula 42 m high called Nohoch Mul “Large Hill”.
Walk on the Ball Courts as we visit the City and read some of the Mayan stone boards better known as stellas.
A Temazcal is a traditional steam bath that has been used for both healing and ritual purposes in Mexico for hundreds if not thousands of years. The name Temazcal (or Temazcalli) comes from the Nahuatl language and means “bathing house”. The term actually comes from two Nahuatl words, “temas” which means bath, and “calli,” which is the word for house.
We recommend an 8 am start. First we will visit the Mayan site for approximately two hours.
